FAQ
-
How far in advance should I book my bridal makeup?
Most brides secure their date 9–12 months ahead. I recommend booking as soon as you’ve set your venue.
-
How do I reserve my wedding day services?
Your date is officially secured with a signed agreement and a $150 non-refundable, non-transferable retainer. This retainer is applied toward your bridal makeup services (not travel or additional fees) and is forfeited if the wedding is canceled for any reason.
-
Can I hold a date without a retainer?
I can “pencil in” your date for 48 hours after sending your proposal. After that, the retainer is required to secure your spot. Dates are only held with a signed contract and retainer. Without these, bookings remain open and are first-come, first-served.
-
Do I need a trial before the wedding?
Trials aren’t required but are highly recommended. A trial allows us to create your ideal look, see how products wear on your skin, and make sure you feel confident and comfortable on your wedding day.
-
When should I schedule my trial?
The best time is 2–4 months before your wedding. Many brides coordinate their trial with engagement photos, a shower, or a night out.
-
What should I bring to my trial?
Bring inspiration photos, details about your dress and wedding style, and notes about your everyday makeup routine. A white or light top helps mimic your wedding day look.
-
How long does bridal makeup take?
Bridal makeup takes about 90 minutes. Bridal party members take approximately 60 minutes each.
-
Do you help with beauty timelines?
Yes! I create a customized beauty timeline for you and your bridal party so everyone knows when they’ll sit for services. This ensures a stress-free morning and that you’re ready right on time.
-
Can you accommodate large bridal parties?
Absolutely. With advance notice, I can bring trusted assistants or additional stylists to accommodate bridal parties of any size.
-
What sets you apart from other artists?
Phoenix Salon + Spa is a full-service destination — not only do I specialize in long-lasting, camera-ready bridal makeup, but I also offer facials, spray tans, and waxing under one roof. This means your entire beauty prep can be managed in one place, with a clear timeline and expert guidance. Brides also love my calm, organized presence on wedding mornings.
-
Will my makeup last all day?
Yes! I use professional, long-wear products layered with airbrush and setting techniques. Every bride also receives a custom touch-up kit to stay fresh through happy tears, photos, and dancing.
-
How should I prep my skin before the wedding?
Consistency is key. I recommend a professional facial 1–2 weeks before your wedding and daily hydration at home. Avoid introducing new products in the week before your wedding to prevent irritation.
-
What if I don’t usually wear makeup?
Many of my brides wear little to no makeup in their daily lives. My approach is always to enhance your natural features so you feel like yourself — just radiant and polished.
-
Do you offer more than makeup for brides?
Yes! Phoenix Salon + Spa is a full-service beauty destination. I’ve created Bridal Prep Packages that combine facials, spray tans, and waxing so you can look and feel your best from head to toe.
-
When should I schedule facials, waxing, and spray tans?
Facials: Ideally monthly, with your final treatment 1–2 weeks before the wedding.
Waxing: Final wax 5–7 days before the wedding.
Spray Tan: Trial 4–6 weeks before, wedding-day tan 2–3 days before.
-
Can other services be bundled with makeup?
Absolutely. Bundling your prep services saves money and takes the guesswork out of scheduling. I’ll provide a personalized plan so everything is perfectly timed for your wedding day.
-
When is the balance due?
The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding date.
-
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made before 30 days of your wedding date: only the retainer is forfeited.
Cancellations made within 30 days of your wedding date: the full remaining balance is still due and non-refundable.
-
Can I reduce the number of services after booking?
Services may be reduced up to 2 months (60 days) prior to the wedding. After that point, all services originally contracted are due in full. Services may still be added if time allows, but not removed once we are within 60 days of your event. This policy ensures fairness and allows me to properly schedule assistants and timing for your day.
-
What if you’re unable to perform services?
In the rare event I cannot perform services due to illness or emergency, all payments (including the retainer) will be refunded, and I will assist in securing a replacement artist.
